[00:00:29] Milam in the Middle podcast been a long time. How you doing? Welcome back folks.

[00:00:35] Yep, it's been a really long time.

[00:00:37] Yeah, so we've moved to studio two or three times since the last time.

[00:00:42] We talked to you guys and one time didn't even use the studio,

[00:00:47] not one single time for Milam in the Middle.

[00:00:50] So here we are in a new area.

[00:00:53] This is brand new.

[00:00:55] Not really sure how this room is going to sound,

[00:00:56] but we're going to give it a go and Milam is excited to be back.

[00:01:01] And he's got some things he's looking to talk about.

[00:01:03] Okay, so pretty much so I know it's been a real time,

[00:01:08] but I have some buildings planned like also like I've been thinking about doing some top 10 list, you know.

[00:01:14] Yeah, yeah, big things plan top 10 list.

[00:01:17] What else you got in mind?

[00:01:19] I'm going to use some interviews maybe.

[00:01:21] Okay, interviews. Who would you be interested in talking to?

[00:01:23] Well, should I tell the viewers or should be able to?

[00:01:26] No, you'll surprise them down the road.

[00:01:30] You got more than just one or two or what are you thinking?

[00:01:32] Well, I really, I really like to bring back to Coa.

[00:01:35] It's been a long time.

[00:01:37] And Zoe maybe.

[00:01:39] Yeah, Zoe she's always looking to be on the microphone.

[00:01:41] Yeah.

[00:01:43] Awesome.

[00:01:45] So what's been happening has been a couple of years.

[00:01:47] I don't think we talked at all before COVID.

[00:01:49] It's been a long time.

[00:01:50] Maybe the last time we were here together, we were talking about a puppy.

[00:01:54] Yeah.

[00:01:56] And Janie, we didn't even have another puppy named Carmella.

[00:01:58] So you want to tell the folks the puppy stories?

[00:02:02] What's going on around our house with the four-legged friends?

[00:02:05] Sure.

[00:02:07] So pretty much we got two dogs now.

[00:02:11] Carmella and Janie.

[00:02:13] They're both golden labradoodles, right?

[00:02:15] Golden doodles.

[00:02:17] Yeah.

[00:02:18] And they're just, you know, so they're incredible dolls.

[00:02:20] We love them a lot.

[00:02:22] And should I tell them about the babies?

[00:02:24] Yeah, you can tell them.

[00:02:26] Okay.

[00:02:34] So we're kind of, we're not a full-on breeder.

[00:02:36] We're not trying to turn our dogs into puppy machines,

[00:02:38] but we have bred two litters, one with one each with both of our puppies,

[00:02:43] Janie and Carmella.

[00:02:45] And it was quite an experience, wouldn't you say?

[00:02:46] Yeah.

[00:02:48] A lot of work.

[00:02:50] A lot of work.

[00:02:52] So the dogs, the puppies are expensive and people think that because you have this expensive puppy that you're selling,

[00:02:58] that it's just like people throwing money at you.

[00:03:01] Would you think that that's how it was for you that had to be on the other side of working with the dogs?

[00:03:06] Not really.

[00:03:08] You know, it was just mussy and I was like happy, like happy for the family, you know, just like giving like a new friend.

[00:03:13] Well, what about your involvement with the puppies themselves? Like the work you had to...

[00:03:20] Well, it was a little gross sometimes.

[00:03:23] From time to time it was a little gross.

[00:03:26] Yeah.

[00:03:28] But was it easy?

[00:03:30] No.

[00:03:32] It wasn't easy?

[00:03:34] It was like some days it was easy but sometimes it was just like, you know, like can I really get fruit as you know?

[00:03:37] Yeah, yeah.

[00:03:38] It's a lot more than we even anticipated being.

[00:03:42] It's been a lot of fun, like you said, it has been neat to see families come in and get a new best friend to take home

[00:03:49] and then share pictures with us as how their pup's growing and becoming a part of their family.

[00:03:55] Pretty neat experience, huh?

[00:03:57] Yeah.

[00:03:59] You ready to do it again?

[00:04:01] Yeah.

[00:04:03] Yeah, it's a lot more.

[00:04:05] A lot more than you think about that it would take to make happen.

[00:04:08] We're carefully walking into another litter.

[00:04:11] So we're not trying to again...

[00:04:13] Slowly but surely.

[00:04:15] Slowly but surely, yeah. One step at a time.

[00:04:17] So we have friends that breed all the time and God bless them.

[00:04:20] They've got more space in their house for sure.

[00:04:24] What else has been going on, Myla?

[00:04:27] It's been a while since we talked.

[00:04:30] Well, I'm now a teenager.

[00:04:32] Now a teenager so this started like when you were eight years old.

[00:04:35] Yeah, so five years.

[00:04:36] Yeah, it's kind of crazy.

[00:04:38] So how's the teenage life going?

[00:04:41] Nothing really too hard.

[00:04:44] Yeah, still doing your school work, getting that done and brothers still at home and working.

[00:04:51] So anything else? Anything fun?

[00:04:55] Well I'm a full-time toy collector now.

[00:04:58] Full-time toy collector.

[00:05:00] So you probably need to tell us about that.

[00:05:02] Well, I have got me a shelf now. I've been dreaming about that for a long time.

[00:05:07] A shelf? What kind of shelf?

[00:05:09] You know like a Target IKEA shelf.

[00:05:13] Okay, okay.

[00:05:15] Just a single shelf or is it like a cabinet or something?

[00:05:19] It's just like a shelf, you know like a cabinet.

[00:05:22] I feel like one of the later years but for now it's just like a shelf I guess you know.

[00:05:27] Okay so it's got a couple of shelves in it.

[00:05:29] Shelf unit.

[00:05:30] Okay, so what does a full-time toy collector do?

[00:05:36] Well he collects toys or he or she collects toys and sometimes you make videos about them.

[00:05:45] Okay, we attended a toy fair.

[00:05:50] What do they call that thing? Is that what it was?

[00:05:53] Retro toy con or something?

[00:05:55] Yeah it was interesting.

[00:05:56] Tacola went with us to that.

[00:05:58] So we'll maybe have him talk next time he's here about the toy fair.

[00:06:03] For me personally it was kind of like walking back in time in the 1980s because that's the rage now.

[00:06:10] Because that was the best time of toys was the 1980s.

[00:06:13] And 60s.

[00:06:15] Yeah, the 60s for the 12 inch figures and the 80s for the 3 and 3 quarter stuff.

[00:06:19] So a full-time toy collector helping with breeding dogs. What else you got going on?

[00:06:24] Well, not very much you know I mean.

[00:06:28] I don't know what to say you know.

[00:06:31] Yeah well it's been a while so it takes a little while to get back in the groove.

[00:06:34] Alright so I guess we'll just sign for now and we'll come back next time.

[00:07:11] So anyway Carla's doing great, we're doing great it's just been real busy.

[00:07:14] And you would think as the world closed down in 2020 and in the 2021 that you'd have all this free time to podcast and all that stuff.

[00:07:22] But our family was actually busier then than we were before.

[00:07:27] So here we are again.

[00:07:30] We got the mics plugged in and we got new microphones so we're going to give this a go and see how it works.
