Day 13 of the Advent(ure) Calendar: Weather Nets & Repeaters.

Listening is one of the most useful skills in radio. Local weather nets pass real-time reports straight to the National Weather Service, often before official alerts catch up. Repeaters do something similar by extending the reach of anyone talking through them — turning a simple handheld into a county-wide listener.

You don’t have to transmit.
Just listen and learn what’s happening around you.

Today’s action:
Look up your nearest repeaters and local weather nets. Write down the frequencies you want to monitor.
